The ObamaPolice state

On RT This Morning - 2015/10/28

Obama praises US Police for a job well done, amidst an outcry of police brutality, see photo below. The report further revealed that in 2015 alone, at least a 1000 have died in the hands of police.

For me to see a security personnel in the learning centre, a classroom, and not just see them, but watch them brutalise a student, a female for that matter, is Déjà vu. The apartheid state adopted the same practice in the height of the liberation struggle, during the worst decade in terms of state violence in SA, the eighties. It was system that was lambasted internationally, and it was declared inhuman, barbaric and racist.

How did Obama get here? What happened to the euphoria of seeming change and hope for the African child in racist USA? What happened to the expectation of world cooperation and peace because an African was ascending to the towers of White Power after 43 Presidents, all of whom more or less danced to the dictates of White Monopoly Capital and its War-engineering doctrine of racism, as well as divide and rule?

According to Tio Hardiman, Creator of the CeaseFire Violence Interrupters, African-American people make up only 13 percent of the population in the United States. However,
African-American males are leading the charge in several categories when it comes down to incarceration, homicide, school dropout rates, fatherless homes, drug addiction, sexually transmitted diseases, high unemployment, and poverty, I add: police brutality.

After two terms in office, I look back and ask Obama, "what have you done to make sure that the 60% prison scourge of African American men is broken, never to be repeated"? Criminology teaches that crime is a socio-economic phenomenon. Well, if Obama wasn't dancing to White Monopoly Capital, which put him in power in the first place, African American conditions would have improved during his term of office, and the end-result would have been a reduction in repeat-offending, while also serving as deterrence to new offenders.

Instead of concentrating on improving the conditions of the most oppressed, Obama is worried about the Gitmo force-feeding videos being hidden from the eye. Thank God the  Court has rejected his administration's request to withhold Gitmo force-feeding videos from the public. This is the same Gitmo he has promised to shut down during his election campaign.

Well, Obama is sailing in safe waters, staying afloat with an assurance of  a sweeping two-year budget deal staves off the threat of a government shutdown for the rest of President Barack Obama’s term, raises the national debt ceiling until spring 2017, and also increases domestic and military spending (RT - 2015/10.28). From this anticipated military spending, is the Defence Authorisation Bill, which will enable funds for Syrian rebels, the Ukraine, boots on the ground in Iraq, as well as perpetuation of the Gitmo Torture Camp.

Well done Obama! Cry the beloved Americans!
